Why Consign with Hill Country Sports Cards?

Hill Country Sports Cards is a well established eBay PowerSeller with a feedback score of over 2200 positive transactions and growing every day. With this type of recognition we are able to consistently obtain some of the highest closing prices on eBay. We also take care of all the fees associated with selling online. That means our small fee is the only one you have to worry about. We take 15% of the final sales price on items that sell for under $500 and only 13% on items that sell for over $500. For items over $1000 we take 10% of the final sales price. This is one of the most competitive prices that you will find. Many of the companies that advertise a low rate also make you responsible for all the associated fees. With Hill Country Sports Cards you don't have to worry about being nickel and dimed to death. The entire process takes roughly three weeks from when we receive your items to when you receive your check. If you need cash fast, we are always looking to purchase collections or individual cards outright. Contact our purchasing representative, Mike Meserole at mike@hillcountrysportscards.com with any questions regarding sales or consignments.

What We Consign

Hill Country Sports Cards accepts cards from any year that have been graded by one of the big three graders: Beckett (BGS), PSA, and SGC. We also accept all modern cards from 1996 up until present day. Each card must have a minimum value of $100. To determine the value of a card, we use the Sports Market Report (SMR) for all vintage graded cards and the low value in the most recent Beckett publication for all modern cards. This is not a guarantee of the final value realized; it just gives us a good number to start with. Simply contact Mike to start turning your collection into cash.

How to Get Your Cards to Us

After we determine which of your cards you are going to consign to us, please print off and fill out the Consignment Contract linked at the bottom of this page. This serves to protect both of our interests. Also include a detailed inventory of each card that you are sending (include the set, year, player, card #, grading company and grade if applicable). We will compare your inventory log to the cards received and contact you if there are any discrepancies or concerns. Pack your cards carefully, using lots of bubble wrap and ship in a sturdy box. We recommend using the USPS and insuring your package, we are not responsible for your cards until they arrive in our possession. Ship your cards to: Hill Country Sports Cards, P.O. Box 29357, Austin, TX 78755. If you insist on using an alternative carrier such as UPS or FedEx, please contact us prior to shipping and we will give you an alternative mailing address. Please note that you are responsible for the cost of shipping your cards to us. If you are located in the state of Texas and do not feel comfortable shipping your cards, contact us, and we can probably arrange a meeting place that is convenient for you.

How You Get Paid

As soon as your cards are received, they will be checked against the invoice and for any condition problems. If there are no discrepancies, we will immediately begin the process of listing your cards. Research shows that eBay receives the most traffic on Sundays, so all of your auctions will launch on a Sunday evening and run a full seven days. Buyers are then given one week to pay. As soon as the final payment is received, your check will be on its way to you. All checks under $3000 will come Priority Mail insured, and all checks exceeding $3000 will be overnighted to you .
